Spatial Notebook is an independent mapping and data analysis studio working with publicly available data. Every piece starts with a question, is answered with data, and carries its method inside the delivery.

Our technical backbone is surveying engineering: measurement, coordinate systems, projections and data accuracy sit at the centre of the work. From geographic information systems to remote sensing, every step is written as code; no output comes from a chain of clicks nobody can repeat.

We keep our publishing programme running: two maps a week, method included. Client work sits on top of that programme, so when we have covered a subject before, the preparation is shorter and the time goes into the analysis.

We work across three rings: Türkiye, the Middle East, and global datasets. On the Turkish side we know where local sources are reliable and where they are not. On Middle East datasets we are fluent in how international organisations publish.
